RockSpark Communication + Marketing was delighted to work with Sea Pointe Construction and the Thomas House Family Shelter to raise awareness and increase donations to the shelter's November Food Drive and to showcase each organization's dedication to serving the Orange County community.
Sea Pointe Construction is ranked in the top 2% of design/build construction firms nationwide, and when the Orange County company heard that the Thomas House Family Shelter in Garden Grove needed assistance, Sea Pointe Construction employees and customers stepped in to help!
Due to the impacts of COVID-19, donations at the Thomas House Family Shelter are down, and requests for assistance from local homeless families are up. To help the shelter and the homeless families who call the shelter home, Sea Pointe Construction designed, donated and installed beautiful new Omega cabinets in one of the shelter's apartment units. The company also coordinated the donation and delivery of furniture, soft goods, and more from Sea Pointe customers, and volunteered to help collect and deliver items for the shelter's November Food Drive.
The RockSpark team leveraged their media relations savvy and to secure an interview with top Los Angeles-based TV station KTLA 5, along with coverage in multiple additional local news outlets.
The KTLA 5 News interview was filmed in the Thomas House Family Shelter's newly remodeled kitchen. The segment treated viewers to virtual tour of the safe, welcoming environment that the Thomas House provides for homeless families, and it offered an up-close look at Sea Pointe Construction's impeccable work and high-quality style.
KTLA 5 News anchors Lu Parker and Glen Walker highlighted the multiple convenient ways that viewers could donate to the food drive, including dropping off donations at the Thomas House Family Shelter and at the Sea Pointe Construction Irvine Design Showroom. The segment also highlighted the important work that the Thomas House Family Shelter does every day to help homeless families, and reinforced Sea Pointe Construction's reputation as leading Orange County company dedicated to giving back to the community.
"We are ecstatic about the results RockSpark Communications was able to deliver with our first PR initiative through their firm," said Sea Pointe Construction Marketing Manager Michelle Williams. "Not only did we get on a major news station, but we got immediate response after airing! The tertiary bonus was an enthusiasm and excitement by employees to be a part of something bigger."
"We are honored that Sea Pointe Construction chose us as a trusted partner to provide public relations and media relations support for this important initiative," said RockSpark CEO Robin Rockey, APR.
"The Thomas House Family Shelter is an incredible organization, and we are thankful that we could help further their mission to support local homeless families and children," Rockey said. "We truly appreciate KTLA's talented and thoughtful team of producers and anchors and all of their efforts to help us reach out to the community and provide information about the food drive to help local families put food on the table this holiday season!"
