Move Carlsbad Campaign Makes Transit Accessible

Updated: Apr 17, 2022

The City of Carlsbad is launching a new public outreach campaign to help residents discover easy, convenient ways to move around the city.

The Move Carlsbad workshop series, hosted by the City of Carlsbad in partnership with Circulate San Diego, runs Oct. 12 – Nov. 2, 2021. The four interactive, Zoom workshops are designed to demystify public transit and encourage residents to try alternative transportation options.

The RockSpark Communications + Marketing team is proud to work with the City of Carlsbad and Circulate San Diego teams to support this important initiative, which included a communications and marketing plan with a diverse array of outreach tactics designed to reach the city’s residents, including seniors – a typically harder to reach population. The outreach campaign included:

  • Coordinating four interactive, public Zoom workshops

  • Direct mail

  • Social media campaign

  • Email marketing

  • Print fliers

  • Direct outreach to residents via city facilities

  • Outreach to community organizations and local partners

“Encouraging folks to explore alternative transportation options can make a positive impact in the lives of individuals, and it benefits the entire community and the environment,” RockSpark CEO Robin Rockey, APR, said. “Making transit more accessible for everyone can help cities and government agencies move the needle to achieve sustainability and mobility goals.”
